Born in Scotland, John graduated from Strathclyde University with a degree in Business Administration. He began his career in banking, working for Morgan Stanley in London, UK, and was one of the first players in the prime brokerage market. He became a member of both the London and the New York Stock Exchanges, before moving into Executive Search.
After a successful career in London, to further develop his career in recruitment, John moved to Singapore and specialised in finding the top banking talent for clients across the region. Having worked in banking & finance for nearly 20 years, John has covered almost every area of banking & finance, including operations and the credit card market. Having established a very successful banking & finance operation, John added energy and IT to the sectors in which Tomnay Noble operates with similar success.
John sees Singapore as the perfect place to work in recruitment, not only because of its pivotal position both in Asia and globally, but also because its size makes it possible to keep your finger on the pulse of every area of the market.
Outside the office, John is also a professional chef, having taken 2 years out during his career to train and work in Michelin starred restaurants across the globe.
Sue is the Head of Research for Tomnay Noble and has been with the firm since its inception.
Being one of the pioneer members of the firm, she has been focused in training and growing the research team which has become one of the firm's key business strengths.
Sue started her career in the Executive Search industry in 1999, and was exposed to working on searches in various industry groups including Banking & Finance, Information Technology, FMCG and Legal. Since 2002, Sue has been focused purely in Banking and Finance and currently specialises in Operations, Treasury and Capital Markets, Equities, Corporate Finance covering the Asia Pacific region. She has also successfully completed large projects in the Oil & Gas industry.
Prior to moving into Executive Search, she worked in the Research & Development unit of a Global Swiss MNC.
A Malaysian who has been residing in Singapore since 1995, Sue is a mum of 2 girls. Being a busy working mum, she tries to give some time to her other passion - books.
