How we work

Like all well managed businesses, Tomnay Noble has always pursued a long-term strategy, rather than chasing the smoke and mirrors of short-term gain. Recruitment is such an important part of individuals' lives and companies' fortunes that we must be absolutely committed to both parties interests when making introductions and helping secure employment decisions.

Taking this view allows us to be completely open and completely professional with both clients and candidates at each stage of the recruitment process, even if, as very occasionally does happen, that means we have to pull out of making an inappropriate placement, marketing a candidate at an unrealistic level or declining an ill thought out assignment.

Nearly 20 years experience of recruitment in Asia has shown us that this approach not only enable us to sleep well at night, but is also the best business strategy, as so many of the candidates we have looked after have become clients, and so many of the clients we have recruited well for have increased the number of assignments they give us.

Key to implementing this philosophy is ensuring that each and every member of Tomnay Noble both understands and supports the long-term vision, so that it naturally and automatically becomes part of the way in which they operate. When we hire individuals for any role in the company, personal integrity is extremely important.

Our consultants need to be highly sensitive to both clients and candidates. They work closely with our client companies to help them find the right professionals to fill their job vacancies. This involves having intimate knowledge of their strategy, growth and future needs, on both a corporate and divisional basis. Such knowledge then enables them to do things like anticipating future recruitment needs and presenting really strong candidates to clients for roles which may not be requisite headcount yet.

Our consultants also build exceptionally strong relationships with our candidates, nurturing, counselling and working with candidates to help them plan and develop their career and find a role that is suitable for them. To do this, we always seek to understand the candidates' attributes, knowledge, motivations, abilities and interests before focusing on specific jobs.
